John Abraham‘s movie Hook Ya Crook‘s release date has tentatively been fixed for the 18th of September 2009. In this movie he is a jailbird who plays cricket.

Before that he has New York movie releasing on 26th June 2009.  While Hook Ya Crook will see him with Dhoni, New York will see him with Neil Nitin Mukesh who is also a good friend of his.

New York songs are already a favourite so there is a very good chance that this one will be John’s first hit in 2009. And if Hook Ya Crook also works magic, John will be ending the year in style.

It is cricket season in Bollywood!

It is cricket season in Bollywood this 2009.

It does not end with Harman Baweja’s Victory but rather starts with it.

There’s Hook Ya Crook with John Abraham and Aamir Khan will swing the bat again in Rajesh Mapuskar’s Ferrari Ki Saawari.

It’s Aamir Khan’s third cricket themed movie – Awwal Number which is long forgotten and Lagaan, the applause for which is still ringing in my ears!

But what’s the deal with the Ferrari bit, eh?

Hook Ya Crook is directed by David Dhawan. It is a comedy which goes without saying. And walking the same line as Victory, it has roped in star cricketers like M S Dhoni to make an appearance.
