It is cricket season in Bollywood this 2009.

It does not end with Harman Baweja’s Victory but rather starts with it.

There’s Hook Ya Crook with John Abraham and Aamir Khan will swing the bat again in Rajesh Mapuskar’s Ferrari Ki Saawari.

It’s Aamir Khan’s third cricket themed movie – Awwal Number which is long forgotten and Lagaan, the applause for which is still ringing in my ears!

But what’s the deal with the Ferrari bit, eh?

Hook Ya Crook is directed by David Dhawan. It is a comedy which goes without saying. And walking the same line as Victory, it has roped in star cricketers like M S Dhoni to make an appearance.

Victory – the latest Bollywood take on cricket

Ajit Pal’s directorial debut Victory is all ’bout cricket and is said to be loosely based on Indian skipper MS Dhoni. Harman Baweja takes the lead, with success getting into his head and then coming back a full circle as he realizes the game is bigger than him.

International cricketers were roped in to add a touch of sports type glam….Jason Gillespie, Brett Lee, Jayasurya, Harbhajan Singh, Mike Hussey and lots more featured in the video Bhalla Utha.

The movie is releasing on 30th Jan 2009.
